Isn't it Time for a Funnier U?
Three Hall of Fame Humorists will address the following with you:
Participants will be able to identify different types of jokes and writing techniques for those jokes. This will be accomplished through actual exercises, not just someone talking about the “theory” of comedy. Truly hands on. FunnierU staff will explain the concept, show the concept, and do the exercises with the participants. This is guaranteed to give people the tools they need to incorporate humor into their programs. A handout will be provided to everyone with dozens of exercises to build their humor muscle. It’s theoretical, practical, and learnable and this is regardless of the comic skill set of the participant. Maybe most importantly, the audience will learn where to find humor, and how to find comic opportunities in their existing programs.
Tips, techniques, and secrets that great comics use that will make your humor pop. From room set-up to performance to post program evaluation, the audience will learn how to make their program memorable by making it entertaining. Voices, characterizations, pace, physicality, styles, and structure are just some of the topics covered in this part of the program. Plus, live demonstrations from the FunnierU staff and how those “bits” came into being and grew into solid material.
And one more thing…it’s gonna be hilarious!
Three Hall of Fame humorists teaching humor. Any questions?
George Campbell, Mark Mayfield, & Tim Gard are all NSA Hall of Fame humorists and the creators of FunnierU, a comprehensive comedy training, coaching, and daily joke writing service. This three-member faculty of FunnierU has nearly one hundred years of combined experience in the speaking and comedy arenas. (They were telling jokes in kindergarten.) They know comedy but more importantly, they can TEACH it! They’re experts in the “art” of comedy AND experts in the “science” of comedy. George Campbell came from stand-up comedy. Mark Mayfield migrated from the corporate world. Tim Gard started in government and training. Three different backgrounds, three different styles. Hilarious presenters and hilarious teachers.
