About the Panelists:
Arnold Sanow, MBA, CSP works with companies, associations and governmental agencies to assist them in building stronger customer and workplace relationships by improving communication, interpersonal relationships, emotional intelligence and presentation skills. Arnold accomplishes this through keynotes, workshops, training, facilitations, retreats, coaching and consulting. Topics include; communication, people skills, persuasion, presentation skills, emotional intelligence, getting along, team building, leadership, customer service, relationship selling, networking and other business and personal development topics.
Sylvia Henderson has been a professional member of NSA and NSA-DC since 2001. She served as Past-President & FastTrack Chair (predecessor to Speaker Academy Dean) of our Chapter, and as a PEG Chair + Academy Curriculum Committee for NSA nationally. As Founder & CEO of MindTeam Solutions Inc., an organizational & talent development company, Sylvia brings 35+ years of corporate, association, and business leadership experience to her profession. Training development & delivery; facilitation; speaking; coaching; writing; and consulting are methods she uses to deliver messages, impact organizations, and change lives. She is the author of multiple books; develops a ridiculous number of products; hosts a cable TV show; and loves building relationships with people in-person...sometimes spending more time than she should doing so. In her "free time" she is a volunteer Girl Scout leadership trainer, rides a motorcycle & roller coasters to rattle her brains, watches Star Trek - all generations, and spends quiet time with her life partner of 33 years in Olney MD.
Allison Shapira is the CEO/Founder of Global Public Speaking LLC, a company that helps people speak with confidence and authenticity in their speeches, presentations, and everyday conversations. She is a former opera singer who teaches public speaking at the Harvard Kennedy School and has spent the last 15 years working with Fortune 50 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations around the world. She has assembled a world-class team of experts who help our clients build their public speaking and presentation skills, executive presence, and media skills.
Allison works with global brands as a highly-rated speaker, trainer, and executive coach. She also travels around the world teaching leadership communication to help emerging and established women leaders grow their business, run for office, or launch a nonprofit. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, is a member of the National Speakers Association, and is an internationally-renowned singer/songwriter who uses music as a way to help others find their voice and their courage to speak.
Allison is the author of the forthcoming book, Speak with Impact: How to command the room and influence others, to be published by HarperCollins in January 2019. She has spoken at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Next Gen Summit and was a finalist for 2017 Woman Business Owner of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners, San Diego Chapter. She lives in Washington, DC.
About the Host, Karen Snyder, CSP:
Karen Snyder has 25 years of experience as a dynamic presenter, trainer, coach, and consultant. She leverages her expertise in business processes and strategic planning to help C-Suite leaders communicate more effectively, develop synergy, and attain desired results. Karen motivates individuals, teams, and entire corporations to achieve personal and professional goals through her insightful observations, practical business skills, and direct approach. Her authenticity encourages each member's potential, thereby helping groups work together and value one another. Karen collaborates with clients to create customized support and constructive solutions.
Karen holds a master's degree in organizational development from Johns Hopkins University, and an undergraduate degree in industrial psychology from the University of Virginia. She is a full member of the National Speakers Association, and she earned her CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) in 2016. Karen is the immediate president of NSA-DC (2016-2017), and she is on the steering committee of the Human Resources BioAlliance (HRBA).

*Guests are welcome to attend their first three (3) NSA-DC Chapter meetings at the discounted rate of $65 per meeting. After your first three visits, you can continue to attend at a special $95 per meeting rate.
Refunds and credits will not be given for meetings and events if you have registered and are unable to attend.
