In a time of unprecedented change, demographic shifts, and increased polarization, speakers must be more aware of the heightened sensitivities and the many nuances these situations present. In recent media, several speeches went awry due to blind spots and unconscious biases where presenters made insensitive, incendiary, and/or illegal comments that had significant impact to their brand and bottom line. Could you be next? This engaging and provocative session led by Dr. Shirley Davis, CSP, a global workforce thought leader and former Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer will provide tips & strategies for how to address your own blind spots and how to build more culturally sensitive presentations that will keep you on the right side of the next hashtag movement.
Attendees will walk away with an enlightened perspective of their own blindspots, the effects that they can on their business and their brand. They will also leave with practical strategies to develop a greater level of cultural competence and the ability to integrate that knowledge into their products and services.
